Lawrence has been involved with the sports betting content industry since 1999. He founded Who2beton in 1999 with $12,000, built a following and ran the daily operations until he sold it to BetCorp (a publicly listed company on the LSE) in 2007. At that time Who2beton was considered one of the top companies in the sports betting content world.
During the same period Lawrence also established a sportsbook marketing agency, Big Juice Media, which launched offshore and international sportsbooks into the North American market. He eventually sold that company to his partner at the time. Lawrence continued in this field by then starting a poker content site called Wisehand Poker and, again, sold it in a private sale in 2010.
From 2010 to 2014 Lawrence consulted to companies on their E-comm and digital marketing programs. In 2014 he re-joined the sports handicapping industry as Co-Founder of WagerTalk Media with Marco and John. Lawrence served as the CEO, built the company into the number one sports betting content provider in North America, and was the architect of two acquisitions. In 2019 he stepped down from his day-to-day role and, even though he’s semi-retired, he is always looking to help the next generation of entrepreneurs.
