Shannon Laverty

Shannon Laverty is a veteran stand-up comic hailing from the plains of Saskatchewan. She is a five-time Canadian Comedy Award nominee and voted top host by Glenn Sumi in NOW Magazine. Shannon has performed across Canada and South Africa. She has also worked in Germany, the Dominican Republic and the US. Laverty was thrilled to work with Dana Carvey and Louis C K., but a show she will never forget is working with Robert Klein at Massey Hall in Toronto on New Year’s Eve.
She is currently a featured performer on A Little Sketchy TV (NTD TV). You can also hear her on SiriusXM: Just for Laughs Canada, RAW Comedy and She’s So Funny in the US. Shannon’s other TV and radio credits include Laugh out Loud (CBC Radio), Winnipeg Comedy Fest (CBC), Listed (Much More Music), Club 54, She’s So Funny and Funny Girls on WTN , Comics (CBC) and The Movie Network’s pay-per-view comedy special Mondo Taboo 2. Shannon has also made appearances at numerous comedy festivals: Winnipeg Comedy Festival, JFL42 YYC, LOL Sudbury, Icebreaker Festival and the Molson Canadian Toronto Comedy Festival.

Ian Sirota has shared the stage with Jerry Seinfeld, Jim Gaffigan, Dennis Miller, Robin Williams, Howie Mandel and Dana Carvey, and headlines comedy clubs across North America. Ian was a regular cast member and writer for Comedy Inc., Comedy Now!, Gutterball Alley, Mr. D, The Debaters and many more.
Ian has been nominated for not one, but two, Gemini Awards including Best Comedy Performance. In 2019 Ian performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and his gala CBC set was dubbed “best set of the fest” by Lara Rae the festival’s artistic director. Ian returned to the festival in 2022 and hit another one out of the park for CBC. Ian’s famous hoax on Jerry Springer was recently named 50th funniest moment in Canadian comedy history by Sirius Radio. Number 50 out of the top 150 in history … not too shabby.
Ian is currently a segment producer and writer on A Little Sketchy TV on the NTD Network and has recently recorded his first album called Roleplay. Ian is also the founder of the 905 Comedy Festival.
